BARBADOS’ AIRPORT

Grantley Adams International Airport is located 12 miles (17 km) east of Bridgetown, in Christ Church. It is just 40 mins drive to The Royal Glitter Bay Villas.

Airlines servicing Barbados include: Air Canada, Air Jamaica, American Airlines, British Airways, Condor, Delta Airlines, US Airways, Virgin Atlantic and West Jet. There is also an excellent facility for private aircraft.

In the airport you’ll find a bank, bar and restaurant. There is also an incoming duty-free shop where you can purchase wine and other spirits.

OTHER TRANSPORTATION

Bus: Bus fare to any destination on the island is BDS $3.50  per person.

Taxi: Royal Glitter Bay works with a reliable taxi driver who is friendly and knowledgeable about the island. Please ask your manager for assistance.

Rental Car: Barbados is an easy island to explore on your own remembering that in Barbados traffic drives on the left side of the road. Renting a car requires a Barbados driving permit (available from car hire companies or the airport), a valid national license or an International Driving Permit.

Be sure to book a vehicle in advance of your trip.  Your parking on property is complimentary.
